Ingredients

Description of how the ingredient works!

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 Actyl Hexapeptide-3 is the substitute of ‘Botox ‘without its bad side effects. The ingredient in Nur76 Anti-Ageing is Acetyl Hexapeptide 3. It is a non-toxic amino-peptide developed specifically to reduce wrinkles and signs of premature aging. Acetyl Hexapeptide 3 is a cost-effective alternative to injections and surgical procedures. Acetyl Hexapeptide 3 temporarily limits the overproduction and release of neurotransmitters that initiate and control the intensity of facial muscle contractions. This reduction in intensity reduces and prevents the formation of dynamic wrinkles that make your skin look aged. This powerful ingredient reduces muscle contractions in a non-paralytic fashion and without toxic side effects. It is naturally derived and non-irritating to the skin. Attaching the hexapeptide to the fatty acid, acetyl, allows the resulting amino-peptide to be easily absorbed into the skin.
At a 10% concentration, Acetyl Hexapeptide 3 has been shown to reduce the depth of wrinkles up to 30% after 30 days of trial use. (source: International Journal of Cosmetic Science, Vol. 24, No 5, p.303, October 2002). Currently, doctors are beginning to recommend use of Acetyl Hexapeptide 3 skin serums in conjunction with paralytic injections to prolong those results.
Aloe Extract A concentration derived from one of the oldest medicinal plants known. A- It has remarkable healing properties that can draw and hold oxygen to the skin. B- It is one of the most effective cellular renewal ingredients available. C- The plants composition is similar to that of human blood plasma and seawater and, because its pH is the same as the human skin, it is extremely soothing and protective. It is a natural astringent!
Avocado Oil Natural oil cold-pressed from the avocado fruit that is rich in vitamins B1, B2, A, D & E, H, amino acids, and minerals. An excellent skin conditioner and moisturizer, this emollient oil is high in essential fatty acids to soothe and heal dry skin. Avocado Oil is a rapidly penetrating oil with anti-oxidant properties that help protect against free radical and photo damage.
Avocado oil is renowned for its healing, anti-bacterial, and anti-wrinkle properties. The high content of lecithin and phytosterols, facilitates its spread ability. It stimulates the collagen metabolism, increasing the proportion of soluble collagen in the dermis, retarding visible signs of ageing and remarkably softening the skin. Research from UCLA Centre for Human Nutrition in California indicates that avocados have the highest Vitamin E content compared to kiwifruit, nectarines, grapes, and peaches. Vitamin E is known to be powerful antioxidant 'mopping up' free radicals and helping to decelerate the signs of ageing, therefore avocado oil is Natures' very special antioxidant.
Skin care products use the natural ability of avocado oil to regenerate connective skin tissue and to inhibit bacterial growth.
Avocado oil is an excellent base for ointments used for treating lacerations, dermatitis, acne and similar skin conditions. Also for post-operative dressings to prevent adhesions to wounds and skin burns whilst accelerating the actual healing process.
Bearberry Extract (Arbutin) Uva Ursi (or manzanita). A natural source of hydroquinone (pigment lightener) due to the astringency of the tannin acid found in the berries and leaves of this plant. Also contains arbutin which can inhibit melanin production. Bearberry inhibits the production of tyrosinase and also naturally decreases existing pigment. Arbutin: A new type of skin de-pigmentation and whitening agents, an extract of the Bearberry plant which is produced by a solid /liquid extraction, an environmentally friendly process. Arbutin protects the skin against damage caused by free radicals. Arbutin inhibits the formation of melanin pigment by inhibiting Tyrosinase activity.
Arbutin is used to prevent pigmentation and to lighten the skin tone. Also used to prevent liver spots and freckles, to treat sunburn marks and to regulate melanogenesis.
Arbutin is a very safe skin agent for external use which does not have toxicity, stimulation, unpleasant odour or side effects such as Hydroqinone. The encapsulation of Arbutin constitutes a delivery system to potentialise the effect in time. It is a way to incorporate the hydrophilic Arbutin in lipophilic media. Arbutin gives three main properties; Whitening effects (skin lightening), anti- age effect and UVB/ UVC filter.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride A mixture of glycerin, caprylic acid and capric acid. An emollient ester derived from coconut oil with good lubricating and spreading properties. Helps products to glide on the skin.
Ceramide Is a natural part of the cell membrane in the outermost layer of the epidermis. They are critical in helping the skin to maintain its moisture-binding and protective barrier functions. Since ceramides make up 40% of the lipid (oily) component of the intercellular cement which binds epidermal skin cells together, they play a key role in maintaining the moisture level and firmness of the skin.
A chronic decline of the ceramide concentration in the skin's intercellular cement has been demonstrated to be part of the skin aging process, as it allows penetration of damaging environmental elements and results in trans epidermal evaporation of moisture.
What is a Ceramide's Function?
Intercellular cement in the skin performs the same function as mortar between the bricks in a wall. As the wall ages, the mortar becomes porous and cracks. Ceramide is the substance in the skin which prevents this from happening to the intercellular cement.
The amount of ceramides in the epidermis proportionately influences the skin's dryness - fewer ceramides result in drier skin and more wrinkles. Applying cermides to your skin results in increased moisture retention in the epidermis.
Ceramides are also excellent restorative care for skin that has been abraded or over-exposed to the elements. Damage caused by mechanical rubbing, wind, burning, sunburn, or chemical peeling shows faster recovery and moisture replenishment with regular ceramide application.
Cetearyl Olivate Derived from olive oil, cetearyl olivate is an emulsifier that is often blended with sorbitan olivate. Together, these emulsifiers help mix oil- and water-based ingredients and help to give a product a luxurious, smooth feel.
Chamomile Extract Herb that has research showing it to have anti-irritant, soothing, and antioxidant properties.
Co-enzyme Q10 Co-enzyme Q10 has two important roles: it is an essential part of the cellular respiration system located in the mitochondria, and it is an antioxidant. CoQ10 improves both the rate and efficiency of energy production in the cells, including the skin and at the same time protects mitochondria from free radicals. CoQ10 is sometimes called a "biomarker of aging" because its level correlates so well with aging.
In most people over thirty, levels of CoQ10 in the skin is below optimum, resulting in a lesser ability to produce collagen, elastin and other important skin molecules. CoQ10-depleted skin may also be more prone to the damage by free radicals, which are particularly abundant with exposure of the skin to the elements. Thus, CoQ10 may boost skin repair and regeneration. Furthermore, CoQ10 is a small molecule that can relatively easily penetrate into skin cells.
Grape Seed Oil In all products grape seed oil is a preferred cosmetic ingredient for damaged and stressed tissues, possessing regenerative and restructuring qualities which allow a better control of skin moisturisation. It can help skin retain the normal structure of epithelium cells and nerve cells via supporting the cell membranes. It is noted to be especially effective for repair of the skin around the eyes. Used as an all-over skin moisturizer, grape seed oil is known to reduce the look of stretch marks. A light thin oil, grape seed oil leaves a glossy film over the skin when used as a carrier oil for essential oils in aromatherapy. It contains more linoleic acid than many other carrier oils. Grape seed oil is also usable as a lubricant for shaving your face.
Hyaluronic Acid A substance found in the connective tissue of the body that cushions and lubricates. Hyaluronic acid also creates volume in the face, giving it a healthy, youthful appearance.
Collagen and elastin supporter. A protein occurring in the skin that appears to bind water in the interstitial spaces between skin cells while it forms a gel-like substance to hold these cells together
Hydrolized Soy Protein A naturally derived vegetable protein produced by the enzymatic hydrolysis of soy flour. It increases the skin’s moisture binding capabilities, while smoothing and minimizing roughness and wrinkles. Used in hair care, it helps enhance gloss and texture, increase moisture retention, and improve body and manageability.
ginkgo extract These compounds were effective in skin conditioning and controlling active oxygen and lipid peroxidation in the skin in low concentration overall imroves skin condition.
Licorice Extract Rebalances dermal cells & helps reduce the formation of melanin, (pigment that gives skin color). Offers significant healing effects, plus firming, soothing, emollient and anti-bacterial benefits. Glycyrrhetinic acid, isolated from Glycyrrihiza glabra (licorice) is widely used in the cosmetic industry. Licorice inhibit tyrosinase activity of melanocytes without any cytotoxicity, it also showed that UV-B–induced pigmentation. The anti-inflammatory properties of Licorice were attributed to inhibition of super-oxide anion production and cyclo-oxygenase activity. Tyrosinase is a copper-containing enzyme that promotes the oxidation of phenols (as tyrosine ) and is widespread in plants and animals.
Magnesuim ascorbyl phosphate Magnesuim ascorbyl phosphate is a water-soluble derivative of vitamin C rapidly gaining popularity in skin care. It is nonirritating and more stable than vitamin C. Most importantly, magnesuim ascorbyl phosphate appears to have the same potential as vitamin C to boost skin collagen synthesis but is effective in significantly lower concentrations. Overall, magnesuim ascorbyl phosphate appears to be a better choice than vitamin C for people with sensitive skin and those wishing to avoid any concomitant exfoliating effects. (Most vitamin C formulas are highly acidic and therefore produce exfoliation.)
Skin care products with magnesuim ascorbyl phosphate are available and their number is growing. Be careful though. Many products contain less than effective concentration and fail to boost collagen synthesis
Meristem Extract Meristem is the tissue of a green plant where cell division and growth occurs. For cosmetic purposes, normally a watery extract is produced from oak bark. It is soothing, reduces swelling and tightens the skin.
Milk Protein Milk's ability to nourish dry skin, gently renew cells and seal moisturing comfort into the skin barrier, comes from its unique protein structure. Natural milk and whey proteins are extremely hydrous - your skin literally drinks them in, deep into the cell layer. Than milk's protein matrix holds in moisture to give your skin a smooth feel and lasting radiance.
Monoammonium Glycirhimate (Licorice extract) Rebalances dermal cells & helps reduce the formation of melanin, (pigment that gives skin color).
Mulberry This tyrosinase inhibitor was isolated from a plant herbal extract. The plant roots from which paper mulberry was isolated were collected in Korea. The tyrosinase inhibition of paper mulberry was compared to kojic acid and HQ. The IC50, the concentration causing 50% inhibition of the activity of tyrosinase, was reported to be 0.396% compared to 5.5% for hydroquinone and 10.0% for kojic acid.

Rosa Centifolia flower extract is an extract of the flowers of the cabbage rose, Rosa centifolia. It is classed as a biological product and is used as a miscellaneous skin-conditioning agent and fragrance ingredient. It is known as cabbage rose extract as well as rose extract.
This aqueous extract is not as concentrated as its volatile oil cousin, yet has the same benefits and therapeutic effects on the skin, with minor variances, as there is a slight difference in the chemical composition of the flowers.
The aqueous extract also contains a bit of tannin as well as a bitter principle, which translates into it having a more toning effect, which is helpful to tighten the skin.
Safflower Oil It has an exceptionally high linoleic acid content. Excellent choice for the replenishment of moisture. Softens, moisturizes. Safflower oil is expressed from safflower seeds. It has one of the highest linoleic acid contents of all known oils. Safflower oil has superior skin compatibility and increases the moisture content of the skin (skin hydra-tion is proportional to the level of linoleic acid in the skin).
Seamollent Extract Has a film forming characteristics that provide a perceptible skin tightening effect and leaves skin feeling silky smooth
Silk Crystal A naturally occurring colourless crystal or white powder commonly found in a variety of rocks. High in various minerals, silica helps to remineralise the skin, and it also has a softening effect.
Sodium Hyaluronate A protein occurring in the skin that appears to bind water in the interstitial spaces between skin cells while it forms a gel-like substance to hold these cells together. Helps increase elasticity and soften lines and wrinkles.
Soluble Collagen A class of chemicals necessary for all cellular functions. Protein is made up of complex combinations of amino acids and have a good affinity with the skin. They help retain water and reduce water loss on the skin’s surface.

Titanium Dioxide (Sunscreen)

A “natural white powder mineral with the distinction of being a “class one”, “full spectrum” sunscreen. In cosmetic use it has the greatest concealing power of all white pigment.
Titanium Oxide (Sunscreen) In almost every sunscreen with a physical blocker, titanium dioxide is found both because of its refractive index and its resistance to discoloration under ultraviolet light. This advantage enhances its stability and ability to protect the skin from ultraviolet light.
Tyrosinase enzyme Tyrosinase enzyme: is a rate-limiting enzyme for melanin synthesis, and defects in the enzymes activity lead to the albinism in humans. It also seems likely that racial differences in human colour may primarily be due to differences in the tyrosinase activity in the melanin cells from varying skin types. Melanin cells derived from black skin have up to ten times more tyrosinase activity and produce up to ten times more melanin than do melanin cells in white skin. Because tyrosinase catalyzes melanin synthesis, tyrosinase inhibitors are important in cosmetic skin-whitening. Oxidative stress contributes to skin aging and can adversely affect skin health, which means antioxidants active in skin cells may support skin health.
Vitamin B3 Helps improve chemical effectiveness; found in products such as Cellex-C Hydra 5-B. Vitamin B3 (niacin) has been shown to effectively treat acne. It may even help prevent and slow down the development of skin cancer.
It is found in the following; Cranberries, Tomatoes, Soy sauce (tamari), Summer squash (any variety), Green peas
Vitamin C/Ascorbic Acid L- Ascorbic Acid (also known as Vitamin C )
The Active Ingredient in C + Firming Serum is L-Ascorbic Acid. It is the most effective form of Vitamin C and acts as a powerful antioxidant. L-Ascorbic Acid is the only form of Vitamin C that is easily absorbed by the skin and is a key element in any anti-aging skincare regimen. Skin is exposed to a variety of environmental insults on a daily basis. UVA/UVB radiation, smoke, air pollution and stress all contribute to the free radical/oxidation process that breaks down the collagen layer of your skin. During this oxidation process, environmental insults cause the skin to form free radicals (O1 molecules) that need to attach to other molecules to become stable (O2 molecules). These free radicals attach to the skin's collagen molecules. This contributes to the breakdown of this collagen layer. Skin starts to look old and loses its natural firmness and elasticity. L-Ascorbic Acid protects your skin from environmental damage and prevents the formation of free radicals. L-Ascorbic Acid is necessary for collagen production and helps to stimulate your skin to produce healthy collagen layers. Over time, the L-Ascorbic Acid in the C + Firming Serum will help to reduce hyperpigmentation, lighten brown spots and improve the texture and firmness of your skin for a younger-looking, more radiant appearance.
There is an increasing awareness that vitamin C has a wide variety of role in human health. New therapeutic uses are being investigated daily, among recent discoveries is that Vitamin C can play important role in the health and beauty of your skin. Vitamin C as ascorbyl form has been tested extensively and reported in journal of American Academy of Dermatology to inhibit the production of the melanin (Melanin is the pigment which give the skin it's dark colour), when Vitamin C inhibit the production of the melanin, a lighter and brighter skin will reveal in just few weeks. Vitamin C does more than that also; vitamin C is required for collagen synthesis, which declines markedly in aging skin. As we grow older, we suffer diminished micro capillary circulation within our skin, which deprives our skin cells of the supply of vitamin C it needs for youthful collagen synthesis. The topical application of vitamin C in a skin-penetrating medium can dramatically enhance the availability of vitamin C for collagen production.
Vitamin C regenerates vitamin E in the skin. An antioxidant like vitamin E can only suppress a limited number of free radicals before it runs out of electrons to donate. Vitamin C regenerates vitamin E and enables vitamin E to provide sustained antioxidant protection in the skin's elastin fibers. Vitamin C plays a vital role in skin repair. When your skin is injured, its Vitamin C content is used up rapidly in the scavenging of free radicals, and in synthesizing collagen to speed healing.
Vitamin E Tocopherol Antioxidant; helps prevent ultraviolet light damage to the skin, so is incorporated into a variety of cosmetic as well as sunscreen preparations. Helps to moisturizer skin as it is oil-soluble. Alpha Tocopherol, or vitamin E, is a fat-soluble vitamin in eight forms that is an important antioxidant. Vitamin E is often used in skin creams and lotions because it is claimed by the manufacturers to play a role in encouraging skin healing and reducing scarring after injuries such as burns. TOCOPHEROL: Vitamin E. An anti-oxidant and cellular renewal ingredient that when combined with vitamins A and C, acts as a preservative in the oil phase of cosmetic formulations.
White Willow Bark Extract Contains salicin, a substance that when taken orally is converted by the digestive process to salicylic acid (beta hydroxy acid). Willow bark may indeed have some anti-inflammatory benefits for skin because, in this form, it appears to retain more of its aspirin-like composition. Rich in phenolic compounds and salicin (glycodise of salicyl alcohol). Its constituents are salicylic glycosides and tannins, which contribute to its analgesic properties. A natural form of salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid widely used as an exfoliant and to keep pores clean of debris.
Xanthan gum A stabilizer that keeps cosmetic ingredients from separating and helps maintain a consistent texture
